Blackcurrant jam

Black currant jam

You need:

                   2 kg  blackcurrant berries
                1/2 kg  granulated sugar
                  25  g  gelling agent

  1. Clean the berries
  2. Boil the berries as soft (about 5 minutes)
  3. Add sugar to the boiler and mix it
  4. Let the mixture boil some minutes
  5. Mix in another container sugar and gelling agent
  6. Put mixed sugar and gelling agent into boiler
  7. When entire berry mixture starts to boil, let it happen about 1 minute
  8. Remove the boiler from hotplate
  9. If you see any foam on the surface of berryjam, peel it off
  10. Move hot jam into disinfected glass jars and close the lids
  11. Cool jars as quickly as possible
